New Years Day Ride 2017

January 2, 2017 By John Hendrix Leave a Comment

Victory Motorcycle

Every January 1st I go for a motorcycle ride.  To me, it signals a fresh start, a new beginning, and a chance to be a little better this year than last. Riding allows me time to be present in the moment and to just enjoy the beauty of God’s creation without social media, or phone calls, or any of life’s other distractions.  It’s a chance to be thankful for what I have and hopeful about what the future holds.

There is something refreshing and invigorating about riding in the brisk, cold air.  Though I will admit, it’s a little more comfortable now on the Victory Cross Country Tour with a heated seat and heated grips than it was on the old Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic!

Happy New Year.  May your 2017 be your best year ever.

As always, I hope to see you out riding the road.
